Grace School Faculty Celebrating Accreditation
Grace School Faculty Celebrate Accredidation

Grace School Faculty celebrate accreditation.

Evaluated by a panel of independent reviewers, The Grace School earned top marks for Index of Quality Education (IEQ).

The IEQ measurement was part of the school’s accreditation review. The now fully accredited Grace School is a member of the Children’s T.E.A.M. family of providers. It is evident that the faculty is deserving of Children’s TEAM’s Provider Spotlight.

Dedicated to serving students with autism and developmental disabilities, The Grace School champions use of precision teaching. This is a critical to making data-driven instructional decisions. Additionally, the school points to educators’ collaboration with qualified therapists as a significant indicator of quality. These professionals include board certified behavior analysts, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists.

Grace School score high Index of Education Quality

Cognia Accreditation offers a holistic measure of performance.

The accrediting agency, Cognia, is a worldwide leader in promoting and evaluating school leadership, professional practice, learning and educational resources. Cognia represents the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI). Additionally, Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) are represented.

Cognia shares that their “Index of Education Quality (IEQ) is a holistic measure of overall performance based on a comprehensive set of standards and review criteria.” Children’s T.E.A.M.’s Director of Operations, Ashley Stewart, has worked closely with the school. Significantly, she notes, “Benchmarking The Grace School’s IEQ with other schools offered validation of our methodology. I could not be more proud of our faculty for all they have done and continue to do to ensure that each student excels.”

The Grace School is grounded in ABA.

Founded in 2008 by Children’s Therapy T.E.A.M. parents looking for opportunities for their children, the school remains true to their mission. The Grace School was one of the first in the state to offer instruction grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA). The school’s first co-director and Children’s T.E.A.M.’s current Director of Family and Transition Support, Katrina Lawson, LMSW, BCaBA, has played a significant role in the school’s history. She shared, “From the beginning, it has been our desire to listen to families and continuously grow and develop. I’m so proud that our Children’s T.E.A.M. family includes a school like The Grace School.”

Under the leadership of Lauren Murphy, Director of Academics, and School Director, Hannah Stemple, BCBA, students kicked off the 2022-23 school year with a taco bar celebrating accreditation. A number of Grace School students and parents served on interview panels for accreditation review. Additionally, school board members, faculty and staff as well as Children’s TEAM’s CoFounders Cindy Watson and Kym Hannah served on interview panels.

Unquestionably, seeing students learn new skills socially, emotionally, and academically continues to inspire The Grace School faculty to reach new professional milestones.
