TEAMWORKS INTERNATIONAL

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27

International Outreach

For the children in orphanages and hospitals, we provide therapy equipment and help educate caregivers on methods for improving the children’s basic development, promoting physical, mental, and emotional health. For children with families, we educate parents on basic development and provide therapy equipment for children.

We demonstrate techniques and distribute equipment to children who require specialized items that are note accessible in the area. Our vision includes building a support system in the community so that parents and caregivers can collaborate to best meet the needs of their children.

Ukraine

While the war has changed the trajectory of our outreach, we’re still engaged with supporting the work of our contacts who have chosen to remain in Ukraine. TEAMworks forged lasting relationships in Ukraine over countless trips for therapy outreach and adoption.

While we are not currently taking international trips to Ukraine, we are still providing support. Our focus has been on remote therapy training, sending funding support for orthotics, and remote therapy and equipment consultation for orphanages on a case-by-case basis.

Rwanda

The need for outreach to HVP Gatagara in Rwanda was inspired by a TEAM member’s spouse who traveled to the area and observed children at Gatagara. TEAMworks has taken a number of therapy teams to Gatagara and surrounding areas. Our mission in Rwanda is to improve the quality of lives for children with disabilities in and near Gatagara.

Guatemala

Our mission in Guatemala is to improve the quality of lives for children with disabilities in and near Guatemala City. During our time in Guatemala we travel to remote areas in order to reach children that would otherwise never have access to therapy services.

TEAMworks Guatemala’s ministry work was initiated by a relationship with a local coffee house, Mama Carmen’s, and New Heights Church. TEAMworks feels a personal connection to Mama Carmen’s coffee house by personally visiting and treating several children in the pictures on the walls. We continue to contribute and support Mama Carmen’s work by engaging in their business, and encourage any local support to them.

China

TEAMworks China was initiated by a Children’s Therapy TEAM therapist who served in China for a number of years before returning to clinics in Northwest Arkansas. TEAMworks has served in Xining Providence with the Qiinghai Red Cross Hospital which at the time was the only facility in Western China with trained therapists.
